He is the founder of Wellings Pharmacy, which grew from a single outlet in Penang into a thriving network of over 40 locations across northern Malaysia. In 2020, he successfully led the company through a merger and acquisition, marking a significant exit that showcased his strength in business valuation, strategic growth, and deal execution.
Choon Leng also led the first overseas expansion of a Malaysian pharmacy brand, partnering with PT Erajaya Swasembada Tbk. to launch a 20-outlet presence in Indonesia. His ability to navigate regulatory landscapes and forge strategic alliances has cemented his reputation as a growth leader in retail and beyond.
